Words can't really describe how Dolphins fans feel today. It's been quite sometime since I've been able to wear a Dolphins' jersey with pride. One year after being the laughingstock of the NFL, the Miami Dolphins have completed an improbable comeback and now sit atop as the 2008 AFC East Division Champions.

Let me say that again, the Miami Dolphins are the 2008 AFC East Division Champions!

I can't say I'm surprised. When Bill Parcells came to the Dolphins organization last year, I wrote that I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dolphins go 8-8 or 9-7. Last year they lost 7 games by 3 points or less.

And after Miami beat New England earlier in the year, taking a look at the Dolphins schedule, you knew they had a great chance. Miami's opponents overall record was 118-138.

Parcells came in and immediately made an impression. He brought in his own coaches and players. He had no problem letting fan favorite Jason Taylor dance off to presumably bigger things in Washington.

Overall, this is a great football "team." I guarantee you nobody wants a piece of the Dolphins right now. This may even be the best Miami team since 1985. This team does all the little things right and they get help from somebody new every game. I mean, did Joey Porter even play yesterday?

Miami tied the NY Giants with 13 total turnovers for the entire year. That's the fewest ever in a 16 game season in NFL history.

They're also a real fun team to watch. You gotta love the "WildCat" offense. In fact, opposing teams preparing for the Dolphins' offense should study game tap from last year's Arkansas offense.

Miami has resurrected the Single Wing formation in the NFL. Can you imagine what athletes like Pat White and Tim Tebow would do running the Single Wing?

The Miami Dolphins have always been known to stumble down the stretch and have trouble playing in cold weather. Not this team. Miami has won 9 of its last 10, including the last two on the road.

Pat White will go down as the one of the best athletes ever at West Virginia. White single handily beat the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2008 Meineke Bowl, completing a stellar career at Morgantown.

White was flashy and electric with speed that killed. He was almost too quick to control on NCAA Football for Playstation.

Pat White finishes his career with the most rushing yards ever by a NCAA Quarterback accumulating 4480 career rushing yards.

Most career rushing yards for a NCAA Quarterback:
1. Pat White-West Virginia (2005-08)-4480
2. Brad Smith-Missouri (2002-05)-4289
3. Antwaan Randle El-Indiana (1998-2001)-3895

Oh, if you haven't heard by now, White also is the only player in the history of College Football to start and win 4 bowl games at quarterback!

White's bowl victories:
2006 Sugar Bowl-Georgia
2007 Gator Bowl-Georgia Tech
2008 Fiesta Bowl-Oklahoma
2008 Meineke Bowl-North Carolina

Overall as a starting quarterback at West Virginia, White was 32-8.

With the continuing success and popularity of the "WildCat"/Single Wing formation in the NFL, White seems like a lethal weapon in future Sundays.

White may not have ever played in a National Title Game (although he had a golden opportunity in 2007), but he erased "the Man formerly known as" Major Harris from the mind of college football fans everywhere.

2008 College Gameday Year in Review

ESPN's College Gameday wrapped up its final show of 2008 where it started the season, Atlanta. Judging by the Saturday morning crowds, the show is still as popular as ever.

The 2008 season marked first ever trips to sites such as Vanderbilt, Texas Tech and Florida A & M.

This year also brought celebrities Kenny Chesney, Lebron James and Bobby Knight to join the cast in offering their picks to the weekend's featured matchups.

Along with the on air chemistry of Chris Fowler, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit, college football fans and their creative signs have kept the show running strong.

The best show of the year arguably was Lubbock. The crowd and signs were tremendous and for the first time ever, Corso donned the Red Raider, Yosemite Sam mascot head and fired two guns! This also happened to be the game of the year-Texas Tech's 39-33 win in the final seconds.

Here's the list of the 2008 sites followed by Corso's pick and his record:

1. Alabama/Clemson (Atlanta)-Clemson (0-1)
2. Miami/Florida-Gators (1-1)
3. Ohio St./USC-Trojans (2-1)
4. LSU/Auburn-Auburn (2-2)
5. Alabama/Georgia-Alabama (3-2)
6. Auburn/Vanderbilt-Auburn (3-3)
7. Texas/Oklahoma-Oklahoma (3-4)
8. Missouri/Texas-Longhorns (4-4)
9. Penn St./Ohio St. (4-5)
10. Texas/Texas Tech-Tech (5-5)
11. Alabama/LSU-Bama (6-5)
12. Hampton/Florida A&M-the Rattlers (7-5)
13. Texas Tech/Oklahoma-Oklahoma (8-5)
14. Oklahoma/Oklahoma St.-the Sooners (9-5)
15. Florida/Alabama-Bama (9-6)
